LocalStudio (listed on the App Store as PocketOps LocalStudio) is a media app for iPhone and iPad made by Meyer App Studio, LLC. It transcribes recordings, trims silences, cleans up voices, removes backgrounds, upscales photos and cuts vertical clips. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: all of that work happens on your device, and none of your media is ever uploaded.
None. LocalStudio has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking. We never receive your videos, audio, photos, transcripts or anything you make with them, and we have no server that could store them.
Every tool in LocalStudio runs on your device. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Voice cleanup, silence trimming, background removal, upscaling and clip rendering use Apple's on-device audio, video and image frameworks. After a one-time language download from Apple, transcription works offline. LocalStudio itself connects only to Apple: for those model downloads and for App Store purchases.
On devices with Apple Intelligence, LocalStudio uses Apple’s on-device language model to suggest moments for vertical clips and to write Post Kits (titles, descriptions, chapters and notes) from your transcripts. That model runs on your device, and your transcripts are not sent anywhere.
Cover Maker’s Illustration backdrop uses Apple’s Image Playground, and only its on-device styles. LocalStudio never uses Image Playground’s option to send requests to an outside provider.
Translation uses Apple’s on-device Translation framework. Your transcripts are translated on your device.
The first time you transcribe in a language, translate into a language, or use ML upscaling on supported hardware, iOS may download the model it needs from Apple. That download is a request to Apple for the model. It does not include your media or your transcripts, and we are not a party to it.
The files you import, your transcripts and your exports are stored in LocalStudio's private storage on your device. They are deliberately excluded from iCloud Backup, so they exist only on the device you made them on. Deleting a project deletes its files. Deleting the app deletes everything.
The app also keeps a few simple counters on your device, such as how many free Pro exports you have used, and a local record of which features you have used, which helps diagnose problems. These never leave your device.
If you allow it, LocalStudio reads your photo library to show your most recent videos and photos on the Studio screen, so you can start a project in one tap. You can grant access to your whole library or only to items you choose, and change that at any time in Settings. Your photos and videos are read on your device only. Nothing is uploaded, and LocalStudio never changes or deletes anything in your library.
If you don't allow access, you can still import with the system photo picker, which gives LocalStudio only the items you select. When you save an export to Photos, LocalStudio adds it as a new item.
If your library is stored in iCloud Photos, opening an item that isn't on your device yet downloads the original from your own iCloud library. That is a download from Apple to you, and nothing is sent to us.
When you share an export, LocalStudio hands the file to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next, whether email, Messages, a social app or Files, is your choice and is governed by that service. LocalStudio does not see or keep a copy of what you send.
LocalStudio Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system, as an annual or monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple handles the payment. We never see your card, your Apple Account or your billing details. To check whether you have Pro, the app asks the App Store for your purchase status on your device.
LocalStudio processes whatever you give it. You are responsible for having the right to use, edit and share the media you import, including any recordings of other people.
LocalStudio is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed at children under 13.
LocalStudio is offered under Apple's standard end-user license agreement. See the Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
