Privacy Policy

Effective October 5, 2026

Tallycraft has no account, no server, and no analytics. Your projects, parts, stock and offcuts are stored only on your device. We never see them, and they are never sent anywhere. On Android, a Google component used to read printed plans sends Google its own diagnostics, described under On Android.

What's stored, and where

All of the following stays in the app's local storage on your device: projects, cut lists, stock sizes and prices, cutting layouts, your offcut inventory, your measurement preferences, and your Tallycraft Pro unlock status. None of it is uploaded to us or to any third party. Deleting the app deletes this data with it.

Camera, photos and files

Scanning a printed plan uses the camera, and importing a screenshot or photo lets you pick an image. Opening a PDF, CSV or text file reads the file you choose. In every case the text is read on your device by Apple's built-in text recognition, the parts are added to your project, and the image or file itself is not kept or uploaded. Tallycraft only sees the photos and files you choose.

Purchases

Tallycraft Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. Apple handles billing, receipts, and refunds directly.

Sharing blueprints

Exporting a PDF blueprint hands the file to iOS's share sheet, and you choose where it goes (Files, Mail, AirDrop, a printer). Neither the file nor that choice passes through us.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads

Tallycraft uses no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The Android version's text recognition component sends Google diagnostics of its own; see On Android.

On Android

Tallycraft for Android works the same way, with these differences:

• Reading plans. Scanning a printed plan, importing a photo or screenshot, and reading a PDF page that has no text of its own use Google's ML Kit text recognition. The text is read on your device and the image is never uploaded. ML Kit itself sends Google diagnostic information: device and app information, a per-installation identifier, performance metrics, the feature's input and output sizes, its version, event types and error codes. Google uses this to run and improve ML Kit and encrypts it in transit. We don't receive it. The document scanner is delivered by Google Play services. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure.
• Backup. Your projects and offcuts are kept in one file on the device. If Android backup is on, Android includes that file in the backup it keeps in your Google account, and a phone-to-phone transfer can carry it to a new phone. We never receive it. There is no sync between devices.
• Purchases. Tallycraft Pro on Android is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment, receipts and refunds. We never see your card or your Google account details.
• Sharing blueprints. Exporting a PDF blueprint hands the file to Android's share sheet, and you choose where it goes.

Children

Tallycraft is a woodworking planning tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
